Passionate about photography or amateur photographer? Why not take part in the Mérignac Photographic Festival and benefit from the opportunity to meet professionals, listen to their advice, work with them on specific topics or simply enrich yourself with such exchanges? Participate in the Workshops and Portfolio Reviews!
Beginning with the Workshops…
Over three full days, these Workshops give you the opportunity to work in small groups and with professional photographers on specific themes.
The workshops take place at the Maison des Associations, from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 October 2017.
Three workshops are offered during the Mérignac Photographic Festival:
- One Workshop on the question of new forms of expression, run by Sébastien Sindeu, how to devlop photography towards a multimedia approach. (Only 7 places)
- One Workshop on habitat and the relations we maintain with the spatial environment in which we live, run by Sabine Delcour. (Only 6 places)
- One Workshop on publishing photographic books, run by Léa Habourdin and André Frère, how to give form to your work in a book project. (Only 8 places)
To participate in any of these workshops, enrolment is required (confirmation upon receipt of payment).
The required level and equipment are indicated on the enrolment forms.
And as for the portfolio reviews…
At the Médiathèque in front of professionals
Friday 6th and Saturday 7th October 2017, come and present your work in front of specialists at the Mérignac media library.
On the basis of one of your photographic series, an exchange will be developed between you and the professional, enabling you to get an opinion on your work and suggestions for furthering your approach.
At the auditorium, in front of the general public:
On Sunday October 8th, we will be presenting a hitherto inexistent proposal within the Mérignac Photographic Festival: a public portfolio reading.
You will present your work in the form of a projection in the auditorium in front of two specialists as well as spectators who can give their reactions. This proposal allows you to confront the exercise of “putting on show”. These reviews are intended for everyone, both amateurs and professionals.
How to participate?
To participate in these portfolio reviews, you must enrol.
There are 30 twenty-minute slots available on Friday and 40 slots on Saturday.
First come, first served!
On Sunday, six photographic projects will be presented. You have until September 10 to propose yours!
